Hodge Hill College 'Walk for Autism'

On Friday 30th January, thirteen year 11 students from Hodge Hill College took part in a 7 mile sponsored walk from their school in Hodge Hill to Hamilton Special School in Handsworth.

The students’ aim was to raise money and Awareness of Autism West Midlands. Fellow students, teachers and the local community from both schools have been sponsoring the Walk with Head Girl Tasmin Begum explaining how important this is to raise money.

Tasmin explains “Autism and Hamilton Special School are two things which are very close to my heart…we are hoping to raise as much as possible to help change the lives of young children and adults living with Autism”.

Hodge Hill College recently raised over £2000 for their Head Boys chosen charity, Cancer Research and now hope to beat that with their new target of £3000 in time for the Easter Holidays.
