A career from studying Maths: Technical Surveyor

Technical surveyors, or surveying technicians, carry out tasks in support of chartered surveyors. Duties can range from draughting building design plans and mapping land use, through to making valuations and managing auctions.

If you are well organised, can work methodically and are looking for a practical         and varied job, this might be an ideal career for you.

You’ll need good maths and IT skills, and the ability to explain ideas and plans in a clear way.

You could start training for this career through an Apprenticeship, by taking a surveying qualification at college or by completing a company trainee scheme.
